Hello, Did anybody replace the windshield wipers on his HR-V? Did you buy them from Honda or another brand? My concern is that they would cost a lot from Honda ... but if I buy some other brand the big one won't have the little spoiler. Any hints? Thanks. Waouw ... you've already replaced them twice on your 2002 HR-V ? I bought mine in 2000 and never replaced them 8) Good to see that the little spoiler doesn't make much difference ... I was worried about wind noise in the wipers on the highway. it's because of the climate.. hot summers (last 2 years over 30C) and winters that go below -25C. the rubber collapses. AoS i've had mine replaced and got a new set from honda. should have cost 20 with the shield thing but they charged me 10 for ordinary ones because the nicer wipers are hard to get. :shock: My dealer replaced all 3 on the last service (54,000 miles). They only replaced the actual rubber bit though, all the rest remained original. The rear had split, and the front passenger side was missing a bit at the end. It cost about 7 per blade, 20 for all 3, which wasn't too bad. More than I can say for the price of a new pollen filter.... Damn that pollen!...But at least it made me clean out the glove box. Joules You might want to look into Teflon coated windscreen wipers. Apparently the advantage is there is less resistance between the wiper and the window. A neighbour has some fitted and is very happy with them. From memory there wasn't much difference in price. |
