We recently got a 2008 CRV with factory alarm and nav. I just read that you can change the lock/unlock features of the car. So it unlocks/locks when you turn on the car or put the shift in and out of park, etc. I was wondering if it is possible to turn off the beep when unlocking the car. When I hit the unlock it beeps twice and unlocks the driver door, and then again when I unlock all doors. I also have a 04 accord that only beeps when you hit the lock button twice, I was hoping I could change the audio feedback to act more like that. thanks. sounds like an aftermarket alarm was installed, though that might be an effect of the extended OEM alarm system. Essentially, there's two options when it comes to new Hondas. You get it as it comes from the factory, with keyless entry, and radio anti-theft/panic. You get it with the OEM add on alarm, with shock sensors. Though I have to be honest, I didn't think Honda offered a system like that for the newer models, as with the immobilizer and keyless entry coverage, they're pretty solid when it comes to anti-theft of the vehicle anyway. I don't know what additional functionality the remote start offers. |
