XM Radio - New Best of Sirius option, work with existing deals

I'm happy to see that the "Best of Sirius" option is officially available for XM subscribers. Meaning Howard and other programming from Sirius. I read here many CR-V owners got the $77/year deal for XM over the last several months. I got the $19.99 for five month deal, so I have XM at this nice rate through the end of the year.

The price for the "Best of Sirius" is $4 additional per month. Has anyone added the $4 package to their existing XM discount subscriptions? Did anyone experience any problems because they were already getting a cut-rate on the subscrition fee? I want to add the package, but I wanted some background in case the sales department tries to say you have to pay full (or a higher) price in order to get the "Best of..." package. I've read lots of shady stories about XM's business practices, so I thought I'd ask all of you.

Thanks!
I went to reup my subscription and they wouldn't budge from the $144 one year price. They also charged me $12 bucks AFTER my subscription had run up. I am not too happy...
I upgraded last night but when I tried to get Howard this morning the screen said updating but stayed on the same channel I had on. Is there a seperate activation required to use best of?
By going into my xm account and requesting a refresh the best of magically appeared. Don't ya just love technology...

I think you need to go to Ch 1 for the programming updates to go through.
I was told I can not add "best of Sirius" to $77/year plan I am on with XM. I am not too fond of Howard, more of Opie and Anthony guy, but I was hoping to get NPR without having to switch stations as I travel. XM's public radio does not carry Click and Clack.
Wow these plans are steep.. I don't care for XM1 or XM2 right to me it's freebee..

I just called them up and asked for it. Told them a friend got this deal and I wanted it too. It is a one time $77 charge, good for a year.

If they don't budge, threaten to cancel. They will transfer you to retentions, and you will get the deal.

If not, cancel, then re-sign up at "win back" rate of $77/year.
Hey there, I was wondering if any one got a deal on a family plan or two radios I really don't like XM bet my wife does and she has account and they wanted me to pay 6.99 and when I asked about the best of Sirius it is 4 more a month 10.99 and have to be on both radios so the other one goes up as well I was thinking of just getting Sirius back but here so many bad things about plug and play radios yea they make some good ones to but don't really want to pay all that money to have one installed as well when I had Sirius that all I was paying was 10.95 a month
