Home-Satellite radio vs HD radio

Satellite radio vs HD radio

Hi everyone , I was wondering what the real difference is in HD radio and Satellite radio, I had Sirius in my truck before the CR-V and really loved it but the CR-V has XM after 6 wk's now I still don't like XM I can never find just one station that is good for more the a few songs I do like to get the football ball games but XM plus that will get the best of Sirius still misses out on the music and plus to pay that kinda money for a radio in the car is more then I am willing to do when I got with Sirius I was only paying 10.95 month, I was told that HD radio is FREE you have to like FREE , much better then the NEWPRICING of 16.95 or 12.95 for just XM

wish I can get Sirius on my XM tuner was wondering if they have any plans like that I know they have plug and play units seen a few just no place to place them so they look good was looking at the new Sportster 5 radio but 170 for plug and play seem like a lot of cash to me plus install and INFO on HD radio if I can just add a tuner to the factory radio and how it works if it is better or not thanks for your help again :?:
AM, FM, XM, the other one you have mention to me all the same. CD or CD changer can't hold so many songs. SD (PC card is the better way to go. I like to make my own selection. To bad there wasn't a way to tap into shoutcast radio has a better selection of commercial free internet music than XM, HD or sirus does.

Project Idea!
Better off adding USB to HDD to PCMCIA slot Small 80GB portable HDD.

This could work instead of using SD, SONY Stick Pro, an etc.. Don't know if it would work, but it could?
mp3 or xm radio. I dont like hd radio. Xm has so much to offer, it's worth the money IMO
Yea I had Sirius before and I really Liked that but with there prices on the way up,I dont see me adding a Sirius Radio in the CR-V and so far I dont like XM so i was wondering can i just add a HD tuner in the V or do i have to replace the radio system ?
i know they make sirius parts you can swap your xm stuff for and have sirius in the crv. as far as hd goes, it isnt gonna be worth it till like 2010 when all stations will have to go digital.
yea I know not looking to drop that kinda money in the V just to pay 20. a month for radio ok yea I know it is now 12.95 unless you want the best of the other as well then it is 16.95 plus all other radios you have on account my dollar does not stretch as far any more and need a way to cut back on spending
I bought an HD radio for my wife, and she's pretty disappointed with the HD reception. It might depend on your market, but in this medium-sized city, its not ready for prime time. The HD stations are constantly fading out. When on HD-1, it will kick in to the standard station, but not on HD-2 or 3. When the station comes through, it is near CD quality, but the problems prevent usability.

If you want to do this, try to read up on reception in your market.
I am in the Fort lauderdale area , what area are you in ?

What city are you in?
we live in a suburb of Fort Lauderdale Tamarac 33321 / coral springs 33065
What city are you in?

Smaller than Ft. Lauderdale, but I keep online personal info to a dead minimum. If you have a XM-ready radio, by the way, you don't need a plug and play Sirius-- there are adapters available. Just enter your car and model at Crutchfield. Plug and play might be less expensive, though.
