Best wax $ can buy?

Is there any type of wax that works or lasts better than the over the counter stuff? I'm in hawaii and wanted something that still looks good after the rain.

i have been using Menzerna products for years with great results. i wouldn't use anything else. try here for these and other products http://www.properautocare.com/

HOWZIT,

Hey, that's a question that can be answered in a thesis-length reply. You have your "botique" waxes that you can buy locally from Ranney @ pakShak. www.pakshak.com (http://www.pakshak.com) or you can buy from other wholesale supply places on Oahu.

Currently, i've started to use paint sealants over waxes. Do a search on paint sealants or go to www.autopia.com (http://www.autopia.com) and research over there. The consensus is that paint sealants tend to last longer and are more durable than waxes. In hawaii, most low end waxes really last a week or so before they evaporate/dissapate on the surface. I've been using Klasse all in one, along with their sealer glaze. BTW you can get that from pakshak locally, or Hawaii truck concepts in waipio. I've also been using the Mark V paint sealant products from PacPro detailing products in Kalihi. They sell wholesale stuff that the detailers use. The paint sealant is a little expensive ($30/quart) but It is EXTREMELY easy to apply/take off and leaves a higher gloss/wax like look on the finish. So far, it has lasted a couple months and going strong with weekly washes. You can go as far as buying Swissvax wax that costs $500+ for a small container. It all depends on what you want. I'm concerned with durability then looks then price.

Do some research on waxes / sealants and decide what you want to do. I've always used waxes until recently when I found www.autopia.com (http://www.autopia.com). Now i've gone from spending about $100/yr on detailing products to about $500/yr. And from research and testing, I'm sold on paint sealants.

Good luck and welcome to the world of detailing.:D
one more thing,

if you go to www.pakshak.com (http://www.pakshak.com) there is a forum in there where you can read and post with local hawaii detailers and get really good info on there too.

Zaino (www.zainostore.com). I've used it on my Vette for years, and nothing else is even close.
You can spend $10,000 or more on a jar of wax if you want to. Probably wont make any difference, but at least you will now that you spent a lot. I personally use Poorboy's Products (www.poorboysworld.net). I really like the easu of use. If you have a dark colored car their Natty's Blue Paste Wax is great. I tend to lean more towards sealants for lighter colors.
Do they come with spelling and grammar checkers?
Go to pro pac in Kalihi and get the carnuba with sealant polish. Gets smoother everytime you wax your truck. I try to do it every 2 or 3 months and the shine is tops. It is a blue liquid and quit easy to apply and remove. It is called Mark V but I think they have a whole line of Mark V products.
