Tips on romoving or buff out curb rash???

i need some advise on buffing out curb rash on my polish rim lip.

what type of stuff would i need??

thank you!!

thats gonna be a pain!! is it just polished aluminum? do you have tools?
i am not sure it aluminum, it chrome, no tool,
You need to establish if it's polished. Knowing the brand and model can help.

Also a photo might be helpful.

If it's polished and you didn't do any structural damage, you're looking at a little rough sanding, then fine sanding, rough polishing, then fine polishing. The Mothers PowerBall Mini MD and Scratch Removing Polish is designed for curb rash, but you still have to follow with regular polishing.

Or you can take it somewhere and for about 100 bucks they can probably fix it good as new.

R-1's website (r-1racingwheels.com (http://r-1racingwheels.com)) seems to be calling that lip a "chrome stainless" -- whatever that means.

But if it's traditional hardened chrome plating (e.g., chrome-plated stainless), you'll need a professional refinishing service or replace the wheel.

You should try contacting the wheel maker or your dealer directly for suggestions.
can i use Aluminum Polish on those rim or i need to use chrome polish
If they're chrome then use chrome polish. Using aluminum polish on chrome won't help you any.
