Home-Klasse, dissapointing.
Klasse, dissapointing.
I did a side by side comparison of Klasse and NXT on the hood my my truck today. I was very carefull in following the instructions for each. Here's what I did since I figured I was going to wash, polish and wax the whole truck at the end of the week, I just did the hood today. HERE"S WHAT I DID: Wash with Car soap and dried the hood. Clay the whole hood with detailing spray to lube (mothers brand) Polish the whole hood with Meguiars Deep polish (I just like this brand and how it works) Applied Klasse and NXT to both sides following instructions to a "T". No excess, dampened on the Klasse, etc. It was just done right. NXT was easier to get off. Klasse was less easier to get off, but not difficult. Shine and smoothness seemed better with NXT. I wouldn't say this is subjective, because I can see and feel a difference. Well, guess more money isn't necessarily better. After reading reviews on other forums, I purchased both and like you did some trial testing. Found other MUCH cheaper sealants / glazes that work BETTER. Klasse is easy to use however, not saying that the others were not. Now, I use the Klasse with my Powerball mini and wax up my alloys. Klasse has been downgraded to the wheel sealant. When I said my Klasse was downgraded to wheels, I mean I use them to polish my alloy wheels. Klasse can be used to polish/seal your rims. I did this because I'm not going to use it on my paint. I'm currently using this product by Mark V which is a paint sealant. The company is owned by Mothers. I understand that it's their industrial/detailer wholesale line. So far it's working GREAT:clap::thumbup: I'm in the trial stages with Poorboys/wolfgang and some others. Well, now that you have a benchmark for application, removal and result, will you keep me posted on how the other products fare in these three categories? Looking forward to the info. Klasse is doesn't give the deepest shine, but it is certainly more durable than the NXT. Using the Klasse Sealant Glaze will add some more gloss. When I use Klasse I use it mainly for protection. Then if I want some real deep gloss I'll add a rich carnauba on top of the Klasse, the following day. PB: Before I invest the money, what's your take on Zaino's wax. I'm reluctant to put another item due to the time I already spent washing, polishing and waxing, then on top of it to wax again. Since I barely have time to wash in the first place. I just want the best shine AND protection for my one time wax application. PB: Before I invest the money, what's your take on Zaino's wax. Don't be like me and spend hundreds of dollars on different products only to find there are better products for your money out there. Autopia.org is a great site. It gets real expensive and time consuming when you have LOTS of expensive detailing products that are almost full on your garage shelves. Also, if time is an issue for you, think about applying a sealant or wax every 3-4 months, and in between use a good quality spray wax after you wash your vehicle to rejuvenate the finish. There are many products out there for your special requests. for instance Optimum NO Rinse car wash saves you time Mother's california gold instant detailer is good for inbetween waxes. I'm a research fanatic and bought Klasse based upon my reading. It just didn't satisfy me in use. So, I'm counting on a direct opinion of a detailer (such as you?) or PB, what their take on it is compared to Klasse. I know PB said the shine wasn't the best, but it was good protection. But how is Zaino's shine compared to the two products that I know, i.e. Klasse and NXT? I have in the trade section that I will give anyone my used once 33oz bottle of Klasse AIO, 16oz bottle of Sealer/Glaze and 5 quarts of Mobile 1 synthetic for one bottle of Zaino Z2 Pro. I haven't used Klasse yet, but my research suggested that AIO was an excellent paint cleaner for removal of oxidation, etc. It also suggested their sealant/glaze was an extremely durable sealant, great for protection, but somewhat "sterile" in the shine department. So, it provides great protection, but if you want a deep/wet gloss you need to put a layer of carnauba or some other product over it. Don't know what color your truck is, but if it's a dark color, or red, you could put a layer of Pinnacle Liquid Souveran over the Klasse. If you want to see deep wet gloss, Liquid Souveran is hard to beat. Not terribly long lasting though. P21S Concours If you want short lasted shine that is amongst the best out there. Also really quite expensive, but worth it if you like taking your car to shows or whatever. PB: Before I invest the money, what's your take on Zaino's wax. You'll rarely find somebody that isn't happy with their Zaino. I don't use Zaino anymore, but I can't really say anything bad about it, except for the price, and time required. ^^ yeah, A LOT of time required for Zaino if you do through all the steps. PB, I'm not a pro here, just your weekend detailler here that likes to keep his cars detailed and well-protected. It's a problem when you're not a pro detailler to have so many different types/brands of waxes/sealants out there, most having lots of supporters. I don't have the time/funds to try everything. All we can do is take the word of guys like yourself. How come you stopped using Zaino? What do you use on your truck? I know these questions have a million answers, but what's a all-around good wax/sealant combo that's reasonably priced...taking into consideration durability/gloss/price in that order. Thanks man, you don't know how many guys out there you've helped out. PB, I'm not a pro here, just your weekend detailler here that likes to keep his cars detailed and well-protected. I am in your situation. I'm just a weekend guy and have already lost a lot of money using the wrong product. I too would like a professional's opinons on what goes on as easily as NXT and protects and shines as closely as Zaino. Your opinons VERY much appreciated. |
