Home-stayin clean

stayin clean

I like to keep the truck clean, and havnt really found a product that gives it that lasting shine ( atleast for a few days ). What products do you guys prefer to use when it comes to cleaning? Not just talking waxes, but washing gels, that sort of thing? Something i can pick up in most stores, but isnt to hard on the wallet!

You might want to look into system one, I've read really good stuff about it, and quite a few the folks over at custom tacos are big fan's. And if all less fails ask PB, he's TN's chief resident truck cleaning guru. Also I think dktaco details for a living, so he would be a great source of info. Hope this helps.

There isn't really any kind of car wash soap that is going to repell dirt. Wax can help keep your paint cleaner by having a slicker surface and letting contaminants blow off. The main purpose of car wash soap is not to protect the paint, but to safely clean the paint. You want a car wash that has lots of lubricants. Washing & Drying your vehicle is usually when the most damage is done to your paint, which is why I never go to automatic car washes. I do it myself. Big Soapy suds are nice, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

If I had to stay with off the shelf stuff I'd probably get Meguiars NXT or Gold Class. But I'd rather order some real good wash soap like Adam's (http://www.adamspolishes.com/c-9-wash-dry.aspx), P21S, (http://www.p21s.com/products/bis_taw.html) ONR, (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-no-rinse.html) or PoorBoys
