I was in need of some detailing products, so I figured I'd try out some stuff from our new vendor, Adam's Polishes. Adam's has been around for a while, but this is the first time I've used any of their products. I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far.

They have a great website, great prices, awesome customer service, super fast shipping, great packaging, and good instructions. I really like the bucket and the towels. I'll be trying out the rest of their products soon, and letting you guys know what I think.

Please do. I'm low on supplies too. I keep seeing the ads for Adam's products but was curious how well they work. Maybe this will be my Valentine's gift from the wifey.

The Adam's window cleaner is a winner. Used it today.

The Adam's detail spray is good. Easy to wipe on and off. Good slickness.

I like to keep a small "sample bottle" of detail spray in my truck for emergencies like bird poop, bugs, etc. On the small sample bottles the spray nozzle is kinda small. It makes the detail spray a little too fine, and a breeze will blow some of it away before it hits the paint. I stuck a dentist pick into the nozzle to open it up and create a little larger flow that would hit the paint better. :thumbup: The full size bottle of detail spray has a good nozzle. So just go with the big bottle, and you're good.

The Adams Undercarriage spray is on par with other UnderCarriage sprays. Nothing ground breaking. It smells good. But like most other undercarriage sprays I've tried, it doesn't hold up to water too well. After a good car wash or a drive on wet roads there isn't much of the undercarriage dressing left in the wheel wells. IMO, a cheap spray-on tire dressing works good as an undercarriage spray. BTW, using an undercarriage spray gives your detail job that final touch. Dry, dirty wheel wells are no good.


The Adam's All Purpose Cleaner is a good safe cleaner. I've used on an engine, tires, wheels, and wheel wells. It can probably be used almost anywhere on your vehicle. You probably want to buy the gallon size. It can go kinda fast. Agitate with a brush and it really lets the cleaner bust up the dirt and grease.


I'll be trying some of the more "serious" (polish, wax) Adam's products this weekend.

The Metal Polish #1 and #2 are great. My wheels look awesome. I'll post some pics tomorrow. I think my Mother's Billet Polish will be moving to the back of the shelf. The Adam's Metal polishes got the job done quicker, and maybe a little shinier than the Mother's did. I'm very impressed. I usually prefer foam applicators, but the Adam's microfiber applicator pad does a great job at spreading the polish and getting in the corners. I need to get a few more Adam's applicators. To do a full detail it's nice to have at least 4 applicators. One for polish, one for wax, one for Metal #1, and one for Metal #2. The plush Microfiber towels are nice too. I wouldn't try to use them as drying towels though. They should be used for removing polish and wax. They don't feel like they would soak up water very good. For drying get a couple of the big Waffle Weave drying towels.

The VRT seems like good stuff too. It left my tires looking just about perfect. Not greasy or super shiny. It's a thin gel that applies easily and evenly with the foam applicator. Now I just have to wait and see how durable it is.

Yup. It spreads easy, and buffs off pretty easy.

My wheels had some bad water spots after I washed my truck today. There's been lots of snow, rain, and salty roads lately. But it only took about 5 minutes per wheel with some Adam's Metal #2 and they looked like new again. I think the more times you use Adams Metal polish on the wheels the easier it is the next time. This is certainly the best metal polish I've tried.

I usually don't like real thick plush microfiber, but Adams plush MF is an exception. Their MF applicator pad spreads the polish nicely, and the plush MF towel buffs it off just as nice. I just hate getting this nice towel all black with the polish, but it seems to wash out pretty easily. (Metal polish always turns black when you use it on aluminum. It's supposed to do this.)

After washing it, I dried my truck off with Adam's big Waffle Weave MF drying towel, and it worked great. It soaked up a lot of water and didn't leave many streaks of water on the first pass. A second pass with the towel got any remaining droplets. I think the Adams towel is a little thicker than my yellow and red Sonus drying towels. I've got enough towels to dry off about 6 vehicles, but I prefer to use these Adam's towels, if they're not in the dirty laundry bin. I've only got one Adam's WW MF drying towel. I need to get some more of these towels so that I don't have to do the laundry so often. :giggle:

The only Adam's product that I'm not sure about is the Wash Pad. It holds a lot of soap and water and it works great at safely cleaning the vehicle, but holding it kinda fatigues my hand. Maybe I need to perfect my technique, but I think I prefer a wash mitt, instead of a pad. You might love the pad. Its personal preference.

In my book, the Wash Pad gets a B+, and all the other Adam's products get an A or A+. :thumbup:

I'll review some more Adam's products in the near future.
