I get the 3 cross shopped all the time... and yes they do compete... sales will prove that alone...

Interior room, better toys, better safety, car like handling and gas mileage is usually enough to win them over... and the better savings and resale helps a little too...

Sorry, but I disagree. If you think the MDX competes with the Escalade, QX56, Navigator, and the like, then you're a bit out of touch.

Well, I've not met an Escalade owner (I know several recent buyers) who has crossed shopped the Cadillac with an MDX, but I'll take your word for it since you work at a dealership.

I've never considered them competitors, though. I suppose that's just my personal opinion.

---------

The Range Rover easily outhandles the MDX, and QX56 easily out-accelerates it.

And (example) a Camry SE V6 has more interior space, the same features, and more power than a Saab 9-5, does that make the Camry a 9-5 competitor?

I am IFCAR and I approve this message. --------- I'll take the Land Cruiser with the Ultra Luxury package (read: LX470) --------- i would take the navigator. beautiful interior and exterior.

lol. more toys than the others? sure... better rear entertainment system than all of them? sure...
if anything, the reason why we didn't get the mdx was LACK OF FEATURES for a "luxury suv".

and of course it'll handle better than most of them. most of the rigs mentioned are full-sized, truck-based suvs. compare the mdx to some of its natural competitors (x5 and srx for example?) and they'll shame the mdx in handling--while others have better safety (xc90?).

200)?200:this.scrollHeight); overflow: hidden;"> --------- Did someone vote repeatedly for the Navigator? It has 132 votes while the next closest is the Range Rover with 13....

MDX has....

more front and rear leg room than the Escalade and a wider track

more second and third row leg room than the Lexus...

more front legroom and third row shoulder room than the Lincoln...

larger than the Land Rover in EVERY dimesion and seats 8...

more toys than the others... better nav, better voice activation, better blue tooth... better rear entertainment system... better crash tests....better gas mileage...

Equal acceleration and better handling than all...

MORE PASSENGER VOLUME THAN ALL OF THEM...

higher resale than than all of them

... is the MDX in the "bling" category of the others... no... but many are surprised how close it actually is...

If the 07 Escalade counts then I'll take that. Navigator isnt even as nice as the current Escalade, QX56 is appaling, The LX470 is nice, but is way underpowered.
