Who else thinks the Toyota FJ-40 will be super awesome ?
1.242hp and 282 torque 2.5000 pound towing 3.Option package w/ roof mounted flood lamps 4.etc... How awesome is that to start out with. I think the FJ-40 will definitley be a best seller. Any ideas on pricing for this ? http://motortrend.com/future/spied/112_0505_toyotafj/ --------- Toyota is saying the starting price for FJ Cruisers won't be more than $22,000, with a fully loaded model in the mid- to high-$26,000 range. 200)?200:this.scrollHeight); overflow: hidden;">

I think I like it, but I'd like to see a picture of it in a different color. This blue that I always see makes it look like a toy. EDIT: Is that 3 windshield wipers I see? 200)?200:this.scrollHeight); overflow: hidden;">

Well, I guess you'd have to define "bestseller". What category? I doubt it will outsell the Wrangler, especially since the Wrangler has a much lower starting price, is more upgrade friendly w/ fantastic aftermarket support, and is also getting redesigned for 2007. I don't think the FJ will be a bestseller, probably more like 3-4K units a month. Personally I still think it looks goofy, and I'm not a fan of the IFS. Call me a purist, but if you're building a vehicle that's supposed to live up to the reputation of a classic off-road legend, IFS just doesn't cut it. Everything else in the powertrain sounds great, though. |
