Replaced sending unit in the driver's side of the fuel tank, gage worked for a month, now it doesn't work again.. I was told that there is a second sending unit on the passenger side of the tank with the fuel pump, is that correct?

There's a sending unit attached to the fuel pump assembly at passenger side of the tank.
