I changed the oil in my car yesterday. The owners manual says it takes 4.2 quarts. I have 4.5 quarts of oil in the engine now and the oil is just over the first mark on the dipstick. I have let the car sit for awhile to make sure all the oil has drained into the pan.

If I had another quart of oil that will make me have about 1 full quart more than the owners manual says I should have.

How much oil does this motor take?

It should take about 5qt/5L to the full mark.
