2003 325i Transmission Hesitation

Hi all....

I've done a archive search, but I'm unable to find anything on this topic.

When I get into my car in the morning (temperate garage), and start it up for the first time of the day, I have a noticable 2 - 3 second delay from the time I put it into drive, til the time the car moves (the revs will increase if I touch the pedal, but no movement). It ONLY happens when the car is TOTALLY cooled off.

Is this common to all Bimmers, or should I contact my dealer?

Thanks in advance for your feedback !

Check your fluid....if it's not low, then you've got a tranny issue. A tranny oil service at this point's going to be rolling the dice. It may make it better, or it may flush enough gunk out that you're tranny's going to be worse. How many miles and when was the last service?

The car has 6500 miles on it. It's been doing that since new. I figured it was a BMW thing.....no huh?

If it's done it since new, and it has 6500 miles, it needs to go back to the dealer for warranty work.

Thanks for you input.
