My new Behr Radiator ordered from Bimmerparts.com came in today :D .. I have a question on the left side of the Radiator (When standing in front of car, the side where the Expansion tank sits next to) anyhow, on my old radiator there is two holes that are plugged with a plastic type of plug.. on the new one, the two holes are not plugged, i ran the hose through one of the holes, and water would run out through the end of the other hole.. I am guessing this would be an add-on for a oil cooler or something ? :dunno Does anyone know wat this is really used for, ? i am holding off on putting in the radiator until i find out if its safe to put it on without attacthing anything to these holes ?

ok, so got some info. the Radiator is for Manual/Automatic tranny and so those two holes, turns out they are for the automatic transmission cooling..and since i got a Manual Tranny i gotta figure out how to clog it, to protect from dirt and unwanted items..

-edit : My old Rad, the plugs are built already on there and cant be removed (made for manual tranny only) so cant use them to clog the threaded holes.. Anyone have any other suggestions ? thanks

You might check with the dealer to see if they have a stock part to close those openings.

Could u just fill it in w/high temp silicone or something?

Ok.. i am finished wit the installation, also took the time to do the Fan Delete :) the holes i never covered, as i was told by bimmer95 it doesnt matter its not part of the cooler.. (and i take his words, since he knows a lot about wat he is talking about) as for the Fan delete, just got back from a 30mn drive around, on semi-traffic freeway, and streets and so far so good no overheating problems :) .. but i can feel the DRAG free from the Viscous fan thats for sure..
