M5 Eng, Man Trans and Diff. Oil

I recently purchased a 2003 M5.

I very interested in using Redline Syn Oil Products. I can only find very liminted oil product info. For the engine, at least I can find to use 5w-30 or 5w-40 and it's 7.5 qt's.... which is fine. But when it comes to the 6spd manual transmission and the differential I can only fine BMW part numbers.... BUT I need Oil type (e.g., ATF, MTF, etc), weigh (e.g., 75w90 or ATF) AND I need the amount to use (e.g., 1.7qt's).

In addition, what's used in the Poser Steering Unit? ATF, other? What the spec's and quanity.

Any info and/or help pointing to other threads/web site would be much appreciated.

Thanks Mark :help

I'm pretty sure you will need Redline D4-ATF for the manual transmission fluid, and Redline 75W-90 gear oil, sorry but I don't know the capacity of the tranny and differential.

As for the motor, if I were you, i'd just keep on using what BMW put in the car for you. I have heard that the Castrol RS 10W-60 is amazing stuff. There should be no reason to change it. FWI, this was the motor oil used in the S70/2 that was in the McLaren F1.
