My pass. side window isn't rolling up correctly and I think it's the window regulator that at fault. Problem is, I've never replaced one in a BMW before and was hoping that somebody here has run into the problem before. I have the door panel off and the glass and regulator exposed, but it looks like there are some unfamiliar screws or bolts that hold it into place.
The history with the poroblem started when it would really drag getting to the top and sealing shut. Then one day, as it approached the tough spot at the top, it started reversing direction automatically (maybe a faillsafe against burning out the motor?). Like a stubborn moron, I forced it to shut rather than investigate and last week one of the regulator sliders that attached to the window glass itself busted and the glass was pretty much off the track since then. Any help would be appreciated.
