accessories card

having applied for an accessories card on line, and signed online, i have just received two credit agreements , by post. one to be returned asap--is this normal , and does it signify acceptance?
would be interested to know if anyone else has had this as routine--please.

What is Accessories card? Do you mean Accessorize, the high street store?

yes most likely an acceptance, you would of recieved a decline letter.

no the card is run by by......... wait for it ........ sgyma.

thanks, just sit and wait then-eh?

yes, sygma--is that bad or good?

Welcome, anythhing stopping you just ringing them up and asking?

Well, i would give them a ring and find out what your credit limit etc is, then you will defo know.

There has been issues with sgyma, nothing to worry about, but they have given some a CIFAS for application fraud, so its nothing for you to worry about.

Yes it is an acceptance.

They will send out your card once they have recieved the signed credit agreement that they sent out to you :)

thought i would take the bull by the horns, and call them! spoke to a really nice young lady--" nothing on my system yet" !then went off " to the department who deal with these things "-quote. came back--" yes , credit agreement received, they will process it asap"--what does that mean??is that just a formality now, and card out to me soon, i was given very little indication, and am wondering if i might still be refused?
if so, why send me agreements? paranoid, and wondering!!!!

extremely unlikely they will decline you now they wouldn't haven't gone to the trouble of sending out the documents for you to sign and then decline you, they would just of sent you the letter declining you. So just send them back and you will have the card in 7-10 days. HTH.

As I said before it is an acceptance.

If this is your first card with Sygma then they usually do this.

It might take a while, but the card will be send out to you on receipt of the signed credit agreement.

thank you so much---sutton 111 & c8ndice--wouldnt it be nice if it came in time for Christmas !Might upgrade from spam to corned beef!

lol good luck.

I applied for a couple of credit cards from the sub-prime thread. Looking at my Experian report I have 2 searches, Vanquis and GE Capital Bank. But then further down I have 2 entries in the CIFAS section from Sygma! Neither has a catagory number, there are reference numbers for both recordsand the reason is 'Application Fraud (facility refused).......one or more material falsehoods. One of the cards I applied for was the Flybe Card.

There is no search from Sygma bank and nothing to indicate a fraud search. What the hell are these companies playing at?

bloody hell, how many different cards by sgyma did you apply for? Any reason why you think they were issued?

I think I applied for Flybe, Vanquis and Accessories. Have no idea why the CIFAS have been issued but I have been reading that some others have had them for unknown reasons.

so the two CIFAS were from sgyma not vanquis, it's very bizare. have you moved recently? or something like that and not put your previous address down?
Are you going to appeal?

We havent moved recently. Been in the same house for over 2 years. I intend to find out what the hell they are about. The only thing I can think is that I put the wrong date down that we moved into this address and got the month wrong. But is this likely to be enough to warrant a CIFAS entry?

very very odd. while i wait to see if my signed credit agreements actually DO produce a card, as everyone suggests, i thought i would apply for a " flybe " card.
Back came a 7-10 days message, but within 24 hours received a " no thank you " letter ??? Still nothing re " accessories", but the " flybe" rejection suggests a different scenario ( eventually), to the one i am led to expect by other contributors?
Odd or what---dare not call them again, in case i upset the applecart!!
Anyone care to comment?

When did you send back your signed credit agreement?
So you applied for a flybe card and got declined?
Have you checked your credit file on-line it may give some indication on if your accessories account has been setup without ringing them, i would telephone though, you aren't going to lose anything by ringing them up.

sent back accessories signed credit agreement ( their copy), on 24th November, called them 3rd December, yes they had it---since then silence.Applied for Flybe 2nd december, by 4th December, already had a " no thanks.
As i say still no " noise " re Accessories, so might call a.m--but seems odd???

6 days not that odd, ring them.
Do you have access to your on-line credit file, if you do your check to see if your account is showing on their.

can't say i've had a problem with sygma bank myself applied for 2 cards never got a credit agreement to fill in got a flybe with 4k & my world with 7k

not bad as i had a few problems a year back had vanquis & capital one etc
so does show you that things can get better :-)

well, curiouser, and curiouser!!! Telephoned sygma today---accessories card sent 4th december, will be with me within 7-10 days, apparently!! Yet they declined my flybe card application---same details exactly!!!!does not make sense.

Wait and see what your credit limit is first on your card, it may explain why they declined you. It may be high.Keep us all informed on what they send you.

will do sutton111. thank you for being so helpful, much appreciated.regards.

will do sutton111. thank you for being so helpful, much appreciated.regards.

Told you that you had been accepted ;)

Been ok with me so far!

thanks so much c8ndice, and sutton111.came home from two days in London, and card waiting on doormat!sadly, and god knows why, credit limit a very silly 400!! i called them to activate, and queried it today, but young lady said it will get better ( ??), within a few months!!! Have 2500 on my Halifax, in good standing, and all a/cs up to date, i think, so now realise why " flybe " refused, but this one---accessories accepted--????? presume pin will arrive in due course.anyway, its a useful petrol card, and hopefully by early jan/feb, might pass the 1k mark, if i pay on time etc etc etc.might retry " flybe", and in fact have written to the underwriters, at sygma.regards.

Well done, glad it came, give it 3-6 months and they will probably increase it.
