Credit Card Payments

Could I have advice on the best time to make my payments to "enjoy" interest free.
My repayment date is usually the 19th of each month, but I have been in the fortunate position recently of being able to pay off the account in full each month and I usually to this as and when I receive the bill. This is usually at the end of each month.
I'm with the R.B.S. and I've noticed that I'm still paying interest, even though I've managed to pay off the last four months in full.

hello!
If you've paid the card off for four months it will not be purchase interest... you sometimes find residual interest for one month after paying off an interest carrying balance due to daily interest charges. (unless your payments have been late which i doubt)

In your case you should have the full interest free period back having paid off the card for so many months.

I think its most likely you are being charged for a "cash" or "cash substitue" transactions. Which are either physically drawing cash/money transfers or any type of gaming or gambling (including lottery or the pools). These transactions are charged on a daily basis (no interest free period).

the only way to stop this is to use a debit facility rather than a credit facility!
hope this helps!
