Credit Card cheques and section 75

If I make a payment to a company, over 100 by credit card cheque, does anybody know of any reason why this would not fall into the coverage of S75? The reason I ask is that I have been part of this MFI issue (not part of this discussion) and I wish to employ one of their contractors to supply and install a kitchen. Obviously, these guys do not have credit card facilities, but were provided by MFI. If I pay them by credit card cheque (not getting into the discussion about the cost or similar), will I still be covered in the same way as paying by credit card itself?

Thoughts please?

...does anybody know of any reason why this would not fall into the coverage of S75? Because there is no 'acquirer' acting for supplier of the goods and/or services.
