Section 75

I sent a copy of this sites sample claim letter to HSBC Mastercard under Section 75 which states that it should be delt with within 14 days.
However it is now thirteen days, and I have still not received a reply or refund from them.
Can you tell me what I should do next. Should I givem more time and if so how long.

Thanks for any help.

There complaints process states they will send an acknowledgement with 5 working days so when the 14 days are up I would follow their standard complaints process:
http://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/popups/how-to-complain;jsessionid=0000REhopvLVCDgKYLssbafXPhe:11 j74lld0

What are you claiming exactly?

How did you send the letter? By standard post or recorded?

Normally you would get a holding letter within the 14 days which acknowledges receipt of your letter. If you have not received this, then call them up to check receipt; if sent by standard post, your letter may have got lost.

Do not expect to get a refund within 14 days. The time relates to them getting in contact with you only. They will need to do their own investigations into the company concerned and then refund you accordingly.
