Refund from on-line retailer - barclaycard

not sure if im on the correct board but i need some barclaycard advice, I returned a faulty item to an on-line retailer who advised me I could have a refund. They messed me about for a month saying its been done, then it takes 28 days then it wasnt done but was being processed ??? so i contacted Barclaycard to try and get my money back, they said they will dispute it and allow 28 days for a resolution,

Its been 2 months now and still no refund, nothing from Barclaycard.

I always believed that barclaycard offered automatic purchase protection and i would be covered should this sort of thing happen  is that not the case ?

can anyone offer any advice, its a fair bit of money so if they wont re-claim the money I will use the small claims,

TIA

Have you chased Barclaycard for it? If so, what have they said?
