Is a Credit Card the best option for me

I have to pay 318 at the end of this December to pay of a tv which I purchased a year ago, using the scheme buy now pay in a years time.

I am considering getting a credit card to pay this of, then clear my credit card balance with 3 equal monthly payments. I would probably get a 6-month 0% on purchases, and cancel the credit card after the 3 months of repaying it.

I am also thinking further ahead as I plan to get a (FTB) mortgage either next year or in 2010, so will a credit card and my plan for repayment be good option (im thinking about my credit rating for my planned mortgage application) for the scenario above or is there a better option I should consider?

Any advise would be much appreciated.
Thanks

If you credit rating is good then I would suggest you get one of the MBNA cards as they allow super balance transfer.

Thanks, is my scenario classed as a balance transfer then or a card purchase?
