Has anyone ever had experience of payments IN to their account that don't belong there ..Is that possible?
I recently got an Egg card and BT'd three amounts ,to my Virgin Card,to my Cap One card and to my Abbey overdraft . Today I saw another payment on my Cap One statement that I didn't recognise ...It was for 390 and put my account in Credit .I checked my Egg Card in case I had inadvertently made another payment but I hadn't. It hasn't come from my bank account either .
I then had the pleasure of phoning Cap One and got nowhere .The guy I spoke to couldn't tell me where the payment came from and when I asked him to give me a Nottingham Tel number he gave me a number which turned out to be a fax number .A second call got me a guy who said there were no Nottingham numbers but I know there are so I have sent them a secure message asking them to phone me but I suspect any call will come from abroad .This is really puzzling me .
