Just a message to get any Barclaycard customers to check their APR's. Ours was originally 29.9%!! After complaining (1 email) they lowered it to 19.90% and froze the the interest for 2 months. Logged onto Barclaycard to check the new statement and it says the interest rate is now 9.90%!! This has really helped us as there is a large balance on the card that we are trying to clear.

Hi,
I sent them an on-line secured message saying that I wasnt happy with the high rate and that I have seen other companies offering much more inviting rates but as being a customer with them for 8 years I would prefer to stick with them but if need be then I would apply for another account and close my Barclay account. I then received a letter saying that they are sorry I felt this way and have lowered the rate to 19.90% and will freeze the interest for 1 month. The interest actually got froze for 2 months :) That was the end of it as far as I knew - We were more than happy with 19.9% and 2 months frozen interest. I then noticed that it has dropped a furthur 10% on the latest statement. (I did not complain or ask for this though)
So I wondering if any1 elses rates had dropped? Maybe due to the financial climate and everything?
