Debit Cards

Hi i am wanting to find out if debit cards are coverd from fraudent use such as online shopping. I have a barclays debit card and somone told me you should not shop online with it because if someone takes your details and steals your card i will not able to get my money back.
This has made me wonder if i should take out a credit card to use online instead. If so would i pass all my saving from the debit card into the credit card?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on the bank but I recommend using a credit card.

i should defo pay on line with a credit card only
Didnt understand your question but if you mean can you transfer things that you have already bought onto your credit card, for protection i am afraid the answer is no.

I had my barclays debit card used online (fraud) and I DID get all my money back.

I wouldn't do it again - credit card only now :)
