My Credit Card Company has owed me money for six months

I called the company today and ask for my money back ( Around 100 )
as the lady was asking for my account details I suguested that they pay me a late fee of 12 for every month they had failed to repay the money.

She replied " have you asked for the money back before" I then explained that I had asked six months ago for the company to send me a cheque, then there was silence until I was told that the money would be in my account in no more than 5 days.

Do any of you think I have a point?

If you can demonstrate that you requested it six months ago and they failed to send it, then you could reasonably ask them to pay interest on it at (say) BoE base rate. Over six months, that'll be a little over two quid in total... probably not worth it.

Asking for a 12 a month late fee is competely unrealistic, and you have no legal or contractual grounds for doing so.

I would demand that they pay you interest at the rate they would charge you and then settle for something inbetween. I absolutely hate companies who do not return money when they say they will..

Do any of you think I have a point? Only if you've asked them every month in the intervening period.
