credit card insurance

Evening all
I've just received a renewal notice on my Natwest card protection policy for 35. I mainly need this for fraud protection because I'm self employed but I'm thinking of switching cards and I'm not sure if it would cover other cards.
Are there any policies independent of the card provider?
Am I covered against fraud in any other way, ie, by the bank?

Regards Pat

What does the policy actually do for you if you are a victim of fraud?

Do you mean these types of cover?

Natwest may actually just resell one of the above and get paid commission.

Personally I don't think they're value for money though.

I get CCP included with my Barclays bank account, if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have bothered registering for it.

It pays me back the money if I lose money to fraud. Up to 5000 prior to notifying them and 100,000 after notification. There are other benefits but I'm covered seperately on other policies for these.
