Watch Out.. New Credit Card Scam

http://www.personalfinanceclaims.com/

This scam company is claiming they can get back various amounts of money from each credit card that you have if taken out before 1st April 2007, supposedly due to flaws in the contracts..

Perhaps Martin could look into these "flaws" and decipher the true reality or prove that this company is actually just a massive scam to rip people off, According to them they sponsor a TV Show and are promoted on the radio.

Though they claim that for EACH credit card statement you ask them to review it will cost you 495.00 and then if they go ahead with the claim they will automatically take 30% of the win from you.. which will likely leave most people with less than they started with..

If youve got 495.00 laying around, id suggest anyone considering this to put it toward your existing debts, if you take on these claims youll end up with court fees.

Wish I had 1 for every time I've seen a variant of this posted

My friend is doing one of these 'pay me 450 and I'll wipe away your debt' schemes, against my better advice. I am interest to see if it does work though.

I can see the theory behind it and I would agree some credit agreements have been done unlawfully, however..... how well it would stand in court when you say borrowed 15k, paid it back quite happily for 2 years and now are debating that the agreement is illegal remains to be seen. And what effect (if any) this has on you credit file, how would the company show the written off amount? as a Settled marker? or something far less helpful?

If in doubt pay me 400 and I'll send you a few standard letters, and do nothing for weeks, then say I can't do anything.....easy money!:rotfl:

Tell you what, I'll do it for half the price :D

Well i wasnt stupid enough to fall for it before all your sarcastic responses aimed at me, i have so little debt, its not worth bothering with, i was merely bringing it to the attention of people who may of recently joined the forum, after all, us workers don't have hours on end to clock up over 3200 posts..

Sounds too good to be true.

There are no new scams. Just more fools.

There are no new scams. Just more fools.
