Virgin - pay balance off by debit card and takes 4 days to clear


Hello,
I paid my credit card balance off on the 19th as it was due on the 22nd and it has not cleared despite being an online transaction from my debit card. They say payments paid on a Thursday after 5pm will not be credited until the Tuesday in this case 25th. :mad: Is this right? I thought payments from a debit card we credited same day. They have blurb on the website when I have had a look back through. I am annoyed as I have been slapped with a 12 late payment charge and 19 for going over my limit on a transaction I put through today. Just wondering if there is anyway I can get those funds back?

22 was a saturday, so really due on 21. I never trust those 'arrive the same day' things, always allow at least four working days - just not worth the hassle of chasing up.
