New Tesco Clubcard Deal 0% for a year

In my local Tesco this afternoon, I was offered a new "Tesco Clubcard" Mastercard with 0% for the first year on purchases, 0% on balance transfers for the first 6 months, and a bonus of 500 Tesco points (worth at least 5) when you start making purchases with the card.
:j

Even though I already have a Tesco Visa card, it seemed too good a deal to turn down, so I accepted it! I have no intention of using it for balance transfers (because of the interest trap after 6 months!), but will certainly use it for purchases only. After the first year, the interest rate for purchases reverts to a "typical 16.9% APR".

According to the blurb I was handed, this offer is only available instore, so you can't write in for it or even get it on the Internet. What credit limit I will be given remains to be seen!

Can you have both cards??

Can you have both cards??
It would seem so, because I told the salesman I already had a Tesco Visa card and he said that didn't matter.

I got one of these cards in October. I was given a limit of something like 4,500.

I've quickly ran that up and if you go over the limit, you're penalised so I called them last night to have the limit increased. I was told this wouldn't happen till next October. The same month the 0% runs out.

Looks like they've brought in measures to stop the stoozing.

Sorry if mentioned before.

Well 4500 is better than nothing.

Have you got both cards then, or are you waiting for new one to arrive??

If you apply in store you get 500 Tesco Points the first time you use the card. You can only apply in store if there are sales teams working there. If you apply online you DON'T get the points. This is in addition to 25% more points when you use the card to buy in Tesco and you get 1 point for each 4 you spend anywhere. I think its a good card if used properly.
