Capital One (Mastercard) credit card
I have noticed on my last three credit card statements that no date is given by which I must send in my monthly payment. Capital One used to be very good at pointing out on the statement the dates by which payment (by different methods) should be sent so that the customer was in no doubt whatsoever about it. I thought it was a clever ploy by Capital One to confuse customers and cause them to send late payments and so be charged the 12 late payment fee. As they are such a huge company this must cause confusion to thousands if not hundreds of thousands of their customers. Now I am thinking that surely this must be illegal for them to do this. The only way to be 100% sure of the date by which payment must be received by them is to pick up the phone and ask them. Why should any customer have to do this?
