Hi first time poster.
I am a full time student on a 1 year course due to complete in june 09, I am fully self financed and am keeping to my budget (thanks MSE). A hangover from my previous life in full time work is about 2000 on a HSBC credit card at 0% till end of feb 09. Now I could pay this off with my cash but it would prob mean dipping into overdrafts to pay for tuition and accomodation next year. My question is: With no job to speak of will i be able to get another credit card to transfer the balance to? I think that it would prob be simpler to get a life of the balance card and start paying off the debt when I finish uni.
Any thoughts advice would be appreciated.
notes
- This is my first credit card and only debt.
- I have a few current accounts all with credit in them.
- I have moved around a lot in the last four years, but always had steady well paid work.
- I have been making minimum repayments on this card since I started using it.
Yours K
