NatWest Credit Card

Sorry if this subject has already been covered. I have attempted to search the forum but could not find the info i am looking for.
I currently have 2 NatWest credit card accounts with 400 and 1200 credit limits. Several months ago i went slightly over my credit limit on the 400 card and incurred the usual 12 overlimit fees for this privilege. The 1200 card currently has a zero balance.
At first i thought a fraudulant transaction had taken place and therefore called the card companys collections dept to clarify the transaction. Once realising that it was my error i made an immediate payment based on the amount suggested by the rep to bring my account back into order (60).
Yesterday i received a letter explaining further overlimit fees had been applied to the account over the last 2 months as the PPI payments on the account had put it overlimit again by a couple of pounds.
This account is settled by direct debit every month from my bank account to cover the minimum payments as my work does not give me the freedom to monitor my accounts as much as i would wish to.
Have spoken to collections once again to express my disapproval at this blatant profiteering by the card company and threatened them with a letter to the FSA etc. However they do not seem to care and its just a case of tough luck its my fault.
I explained that i was unaware of signing up to PPI as i have standalone insurance in place to cover my bills (Through NatWest Bank).
My question is would i be wasting my time firing off letters to NatWest and/or the FSA or is there a way i could recoup some of the losses incurred through overlimit/late payment / PPI fees via the methods detailed on this site.
Sorry once again if i am going over old ground here.
