| I received a junk email from someone stating that a federal law allows you to take a one time wipe out of your credit report to start over with a clean slate. is this true?? IAAL, YOUR ARE ONE BIG F**KING AS**OLE!!!!!!! i am not stupid and I am aware of junk and spam but this guy said there is a little known federal law that under certain criteria will allow a judge to give an order to start over. the reason i asked here is I thought maybe there were intelligent people familiar with the law that could filter this out. I did go through a nasty divorce and had a bankruptcy dissmissed because of lack of co operation from ex bit@*, I have had custody for 2 years and credit is bad. I thought it sounded interesting. sorry if I wasted your obvious precious time. does anyone now if this is real? If there was a federal law it would not be little known. Did the email mention the law? Was it a law from the first half of the century? There are scam artists that look for stuff like laws that have enacted then repealed years later. They claim the first law is still in effect. The only thing they want is your money and usually it is the most desparate they prey on. The email probably wants you to call a number (not toll free either) and will take any credit card. The email probably was generated overseas too. Delete it and forget it.
