I have just found out that a hospital bill from a year ago has gone to a collection agency.

I never received a bill from the hospital until 2 days ago, and it's already in collections.

I contacted the collection agency to try to set up a payment plan ( $50.00 a month on a total bill of $264.00 ).

The collection agency told me I had to pay in full within 30 days, or it would be reported to the credit bureaus.

I don't want this to go on my credit report, but I can only afford
$50.00 a month.

What can I do??????????????
