What is the name of your state? minnesota:when i went for my consultation with my attorney,i told him i had some medical debts in my wifes name,but when these debts were incurred she was unemployed and i was the insurance holder. i asked if i could include these debts in my bankruptcy since i was basicly the financially responsible party,and his reply was"we can try it". now i have a collections company sending my wife a summons for a judgement hearing and when i contacted my lawyer about this he told me he could not discarge her debts on my case. i reminded him about his saying we can try to do it and he denies ever saying that or having any knowledge of any of the debts being in her name! what can i do?
