What is the name of your state? CA One of my daughters has been unemployed for about 1 1/2 yr and has been on disability part of the time. She has credit card bills that she has been trying to pay off in the past when she was on disability. Her disability has run out five months ago and has not been able to make any payments to them. I was told that in her situation she is "judgement proof". She has applied for Social Security. If she gets her SS, can they take or garnish any part of it.? She will never be able to pay these cc debts on her social securtiy. Any info will help. Thanks thanks LR. Also, my daughter, if she gets her SS, will probably get some back pay from them in a lump sum. How much? I don't know. Is that also proteted from the CC companies? Thanks again. |
