What is the name of your state? Georgia i lost my job in Feb, but am married. We contacted all our creditors and everyone worked with us except Amex. I am back at work have paid everyone current except Amex. We owe 24K (this is the card you pay installments on.) I have continued to pay them every month any where from $400 to $3000. The collector says we need to pay all now or they will get a judgement. They will not work any payment plans. I still send money. We own a house and have good jobs. We can not pay 24K all at once. What can they do to us and why would they not want to work this out even when we have continued to pay what we can? HELP PLEASE!! |
