My Ex and I opened a joint account after our divorce. With me as the authorized users so I could take advantage of a lower interest rate. Two years later he remarried and the new wife found out about the agreement. She does not like me and my EX did not tell her the truth about the account. To appease her he called the credit card company and told them that he did not open the account. An investigation was done (police) and they did determine that the account was opened by him and the balanced transferred was from credit card where he was the primary and I was the authorized user and it was legal. They, credit card company, have records stating they confirmed with him it was ok to open the account. The investigator told me to request a form to take over the account, which I did. The credit card company sent me a letter basically
1) threatening me about payment of the account and that they would involve the police if they had to,
2) that I needed to sign the form and the terms of the account would be the same as the original agreement. The form was not included in their letter.

I wrote them a letter back stating that an investigation had been performed and gave them the name of the detective. I also, told them that I would not sign any form until I was in agreement with the terms and on top of that they had not include the form for me to take over the account.

It has been 13 months since I replied and I have not received a statement or phone call regarding this account. I have access to the account online and there are no finance charges being made on the balance. I have made minimum monthly payments every month. My question is should I contact the cc company
