From the motley fool to the extra points Falcons card. They told me that an inquiry would be pulled just to change cards.
So I said well, if you are going to pull just for me to change cards, I might as well keep my motley fool and just apply for the new Atlanta Falcons card...I did with a 674 TU score, no baddies, but HIGH utilization. Well, within 3 minutes, cause they pull the inquiry while I was on the phone...BAM!!! $10k credit limit.
Now I can combine my Motley Fool $15K with my new $10k Falcons card and have one card with a $25K limit.

but beware... i had a card with them an a perfect history 20,000 cr line that was canceled bcs they said i had too much credit (Total) that card and with the other issuers. go figure:(

Thickman66 brings up an interesting point. MBNA is the king of special interest credit cards. From universities, sports teams, clubs and organizations, businesses, the list goes on. I wouldn' t be surprised if they had 1,000 different cards. Im glad he was able to consolidate his credit line because under these circumstances anyone could have ties to several entities that have their own credit card through MBNA
Just out of curiosity, would anyone care to disclose where their MBNA card comes from?
My MBNA card comes from my former bank, Downey Savings and Loan, a small California bank. My only other opportunity to get an MBNA special interest card so far has been through my colleges alumni association. I do not have the card.
My Wachovia branded VISA card is serviced by MBNA. It's a fixed 4.9 cash, credit, transfer card. My best card in my pocket. I love it. They offered the card to me after 8 years of a 19.8% card with them.
I had a card with First Virginia Bank (which is no more) and they sold their portfolio to MBNA several years ago. MBNA jacked my rate, I closed the card and swore never to do business with MBNA again.
So far I haven't. But with all the mergers, who knows what will happen?
