In finances "budget" is applied to the forecast calculation of expenses, etc

I was wondering whether estimation or budget should be used in the following situation:

if you go to a store asking for a service (e.g. have your car repaired), you would like to know how much will it cost -in advance-

so you ask the store for a 1) budget 2) estimation ?

I agree with you, and that is what I thought at first,
"but" the "problem" here is that in the excel worksheet that I was given with all the words (that the software uses), estimation/estimate does not appear.
Then in the Functionality Requirements Document appears a whole chapter on budgets (presupuestos -anuales,etc-) and one section on "presupuestos" -in Spanish- which i'd translate as "estimations" .

El año pasado hice un curso de inglés comercial y me dijeron que:

Budget: Presupuesto: cantidad de dinero que tienes para invertir en algo

Quotation: Presupuesto: Oferta detallada que te da un proveedor sobre el coste / precio de algo.
