I'm close to Orange. Send me a PM and we'll hook up. Yo, Rod cee dee, I went and looked at this car per your request. I just looked and started the car. I did not look it over 100%. It's a dealership and no one came out when I looked it over. The owner said the car hadn't been started in a couple of weeks. It did start right up, but belched blue smoke on start. It smelled rich during the time it was running. It did appear to run smooth. The car was boxed in by other vehicles so I didn't put it in gear or try to move it. The interior and exterior of the car leads me to believe it was not well taken care of. The car has been repainted in areas, which is evident as you will see by the overspray. The front grills are loose and the chrome trim is in the trunk. The interior is hurting and there is nothing positive to say about it. The left blinker has a bulb out and the right seemed ok. The sunroof fully opened but the interior panel did not slide back when "popped up". Even the back seats were rough and had a seperation in a seam. MID has pixel issues. I'll leave the rest to the pics and others to comment on. http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/961/850001li4.th.jpghttp://img337.imageshack.us/img337/961/850001li4.th.jpg (http://img337.imageshack.us/my.php?image=850001li4.jpg)http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/3146/850004mv0.th.jpg (http://img337.imageshack.us/my.php?image=850004mv0.jpg)http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/4408/850003uc5.th.jpg (http://img404.imageshack.us/my.php?image=850003uc5.jpg)http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/7263/850005vv7.th.jpg (http://img404.imageshack.us/my.php?image=850005vv7.jpg)http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/8003/850006nv2.th.jpg (http://img404.imageshack.us/my.php?image=850006nv2.jpg)http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/3519/850028up9.th.jpg (http://img404.imageshack.us/my.php?image=850028up9.jpg)http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/4071/850027sh3.th.jpg (http://img182.imageshack.us/my.php?image=850027sh3.jpg)http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/9929/850009gu5.th.jpg (http://img404.imageshack.us/my.php?image=850009gu5.jpg) Overspray and paint issues, sunroof rust blisters, lenses on headlights rough. No doubt I could have looked harder, but to be honest it seemed pointless. IMO it would take alot to turn her into what you want it to be. I have the pics in full size if you are interested... Yo, Rod yo rod thank you so much on the info. that one is a roach. i rather pass on her cee dee, It is a roach bro. I didn't want to say too much, but would have if you seemed to be going for it. I feel sorry for the person that buys it. The only way it would have been fun to look at this would have been if the real owner was there, so I could break his heart in two. Yo, Rod Who the hell treated that car so poorly? Damn, what a disgrace! The PO really outta take a long walk on a short pier. Mike- You are doing well learning what a good one is and what it will cost you one way or another. If you wait much longer, I'm seriously thinking of keeping mine for a daily driver and leave the others as garage queens! Compared to all the cars you've seen, this one is a creampuff that needs minor body dings fixed and full paint. It needs the lower spoiler piece, headliner, coin holder, few pixels out-very readable, can't think of anything else. You better frog soon! http://www.satservice.com/850_92/ greg, i seriously like your car. so far, the sales of my cars a supersluggish. if i can't pull the trigger and you really want to part, by that time. then i'll do whatever i can to spread the word. it really would not be fair, to keep you waiting. No problem Mike, I was serious in saying I'm really thinking of just keeping it, so I'm really not going to list it anywhere. Word of mouth thru the forums is how it needs to go. I'm in no hurry and probably won't sell it unless someone comes looking for it and will pay the price. No pressure intended, I was just ribbing you! You really have done a good job educating yourself and when the right time comes for you and this or any other car, you will have made a wise purchase. Rod- You don't think the car is salvagebale? Maybe a good project car? (I don't know what the asking price is from the stealership). (I don't know what the asking price is from the stealership). Toy Toy and all the fellas, As we know any car is "salvageable", But some relationships are best steered clear of. If this was a 67 vette, I'd be the first one on it. I just deleted a bunch of stuff I wrote in response... I'll keep it short(er). I've seen better for less. The interior is shot.... headliner is tan and furry so I don't think it's original. The rest is falling apart and beat. The exterior needs complete repaint and who know what they hid with that "splash job" (I hate splash jobs... I'd rather have beat original). The tires are wagon wheels 19" somethings... The motor did start without a hitch but really puffed. These motors are not known as hand grenades, but mileage was not a saving grace in this case. Lastly I did not inspect any mechanical aspects of this vehicle. I could do some with the right equipment and time, but would call for back-up. The ground was wet around the vehicle so crawling under was a minimum. Not like I'd actually fit anyways. Yo, BIG Rod :) Don't feel bad Rod, I don't think anyone's skinny a$$ could get under one! I hate to break the dealer's heart but that car is not worth more than 2-3k, and still part it out. SSC, I agree... on all counts. I know I don't come across as meek, but anyway that particular dealer just stayed in the office while I checked the car out. Bottom line is that even tho he showed some defects in eBay pics, he is well on his way to pissing off the now "Prospective" buyer. Whom upon receipt of such said vehicle... will flip the .... out. Mike (cee dee) has done alot of research on this vehicle and no doubt others as well... stay patient my brother and it will happen. You need another one looked at... let me know. Yo, Rod |
