I stopped off over on this forum, to find some help for my mom's 98 740il. I decided to stop in here, because I am curious

I stopped off over on this forum, to find some help for my mom's 98 740il. I decided to stop in here, because I am curious what these vehicles are capable of (and I am more of an suv type person). I understand that most people here simply use these for hauling/towing/passengers, but I am curious if there is anybody here who has tested the capabilities of these vehicles. BMW makes great cars, but SUV's aren't really their thing, so I was wondering how they handle when offroad/unfavorable conditions.

Does anybody have any good stories/pictures of what they have done with theirs?

i hunt...ALOT. I've been on logging trails ,thru mud. very rough terrain ect. no issues as of now. Tire choice will dramatically affect things. I dont run in mud to the bumpers but i i'm off road often. I wouldn't expect it to do all the things a jeep might but then again it's not a jeep...thankfully.
