I have been the very proud owner of a 1991 850 for over 12 years, and can honestly say its been nothing short of brilliant.
Each winter while the car was in Toronto, I stored this car with the batteries turned off. Never a problem when I restored power in the spring, just put in the code for the radio and entered all the info to the onboard computer.
Late last year I retired my car down to Miami and have since used the same protocol.
Only this time the radio won't take the code... it still says CODE... anyone know what to do to reset the standard 850 radio?
