I'm trying to get inspired to get involved with an E31. Modded or stock. I currently own a few E34's. One is ACS S5 themed to the max.
But I keep peering at these damn E31's.
Hopefully you guys have a good stash of fav saved pix to see.;)

Please add/note the year of cars where you can. I notice the nose cone differences and assume the beefier nose/valance is later model??

Most of my cars are boosted. My Datsun 240-Z, GMC Syclone awd, and soon my E34 M50 will be too........so I've got to ask......is your TT faster than a M-series 8 ?:) Or close with more torque ??

What seems to be the current bottom end and top end prices for these cars ?:confused What makes one model/year/option better or worse ?

Where there any bad years I'd be best to stay away from ?

Are most of you running 18's ....and do you like the ride ?

I have 18's on my 7 and 8, they ride like a BMW should on both cars. Ride is not rough or harsh.

Those are some sweet 8s. Maybe one of these days I can be fortunate enough to get a 850 6sp.

This is my #1 car, equipped with Bilstein struts/shocks, CSi bump stops, H&R springs, Gen I swaybars and KMac adjustable camber plates on optional 17" BBS style 5 wheels. Handles like a snake on sandpaper. Ride is a little stiffer than my #2 car who's only mod is H&R springs and MWrench static camber plates.

Yes......and I restore cars from rotisery chasis up as well as build their drivetrains( for myself anyway)....so there is very little I can't deal with. Its a grand hobby. But can be very expensive with cars like these.
PM me if you have some in mind that could be good deals. I'd like to start with a six speed car if possible.

Rather start with the right base to begin with.

you're going to need to dig in your pockets and get the correct car to start with. Watch out for the "bargains" out there. It will be a bad experience and very expensive. Buying from within the forums is a wise choice and a good head start.
I took my Glacier for a new windshield today and then for inspection sticker at Toyota dealership where a friend works. Brand new fancy facility opened last month. Shiney floors, shiney everything. I pulled the car in and it immediately had the normal crowd around it. Went on for so long the secretaries were coming out to get folks back to work! Shut down the entire facility for apx 20 minutes! There's part of the joy of owning an 8.
The other benefit is one of the managers wants to buy the black one. I didn't have the heart to tell them about the white one!

These are great pix guys, please keep them coming. I really like the CSI nose /cone bumper covers.

Are there any OTHER bumper covers/aftermarket that are sharp ? I recall seeing an ACS accent.....but didn't save the images.

I really want a black/schwarz 6 speed.......................but some of these other colors are growing on me.:cool

Been Hibernating for 6 months, Getting ready for a Koizumi wax job!!!-----) Look at all the dust on the rear pillar.

Nice ride 8eights... why hibernating? Guess you can see from my pics, mine barely peeks out of the garage. Hate to hit them stinkin puddles.

He picked me up at the DFW airport with it. 700+ HP :eek: and he opened it up for me on a clear patch of interstate. I think that's the most acceleration I've ever experienced.

Very cool car, but I could never use it as a daily driver... it was way to harsh and buzzy. Just came out of a ride like that and went to my 8 -- loving the ride in it.
