OK, I finally took the time to write the procedure up along with pictures. This is from a recent strut removal to replace bolts on a camber plate but as you will see, I could have replaced spring, shocks, (or both) along with the guide support. I didn't do a real good job of proof reading so if there are glaring errors let me know. Enjoy

me too :-) how many times I could have tried this and never did !
it woul dhave saved me some muscle and elbow grease in a past year. I always removed the whole assy and reinstall was always a pain.
