has anybody replaces the window material on a soft top? if so, what material was used and how..

my soft top isn't to bad, but the windows are shot..:mad:
Figure out which top you have and purchase the window sections. Depending on how old the top is, there maybe some color mismatch due to fading.

But to answer your question, I don't know of anyone who has removed the window from the canvas and replaced it. I think it can't be done without ruining the seam area.

However, since you are from CT, check near the coast for marine canvas companies. They make the canvas tops, just like Jeep tops, from scratch, for boats like sportfishers, so if anyone can do it, they can. They likely also have plenty of the window material to sell to you if you want to try it yourself.
If it's a Bestop, they sell clear and tinted rear and side window kits. Doors are sold seperatly.
ANY decent marine/ canopy/awning shop can replace them, and it's not THAT expensive compared to buying new (which is also a good option).

my buddy just had all his done in his '65 CJ 5 top/doors, and it was a couple hundred for everything.
