Has any one built there own sway bar dissconnects. I'm looking for Ideas and what was used for material. I cant' t find any long enought for my jeep. My jeeps dissconnets need to be 13 3/4 " from center to center. thanks for any input guys
I didn't like how the aftermarket ones had a pin and was loose and or rattled. I ground down the "hat" part of the swaybar pin and drilled out and tapped for a stud to match the bottom post in size and threads. Tached it in place and ground out the poly bushings just slightly so the factory link bar would slide on and off when the nuts were off. Used GM nuts with flaired seat. WORKS GREAT, no play or noise and I can remove it easily for the day when off roading. In your case, you would need to legthen the center bar of the link to match your lift.
