http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Suspension_Steering_Axles_and_Brakes/Jeep_Axle_Info_and_Ratios.htm Axle id is = 8953004031 Which oddly enough is not listed on the site above..............any ideas? I've done an extensive Google search and only found this, which didn't help much: http://www.wagoneers.com/FSJ/digests/FSJ-2150/fsj-2189.txt Trying to match up this Waggy Rear axle to see if it has the same gears as the Waggy front end I'm about to install. If you give a picture of the axle you actually have this question will be answered in no time. this might help you http://coloradok5.com/axleguide.shtml Hoss Looks like a Dana 44 to me too now that I got pics........ http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/IMGP4044.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/IMGP4043.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/IMGP4042.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/IMGP4041.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/IMGP4048.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/IMGP4047.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/IMGP4046.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/IMGP4045.jpg Looks like a 44 to me as well. It's a 44. 44. are there any numbers on the tag on the bolt on the diff cover? if not , then pull the cover off. you can either count the teeth on both the ring and pinion, or they should be stamped on the ring gear. divide the bigger number into the smaller number. that is the gear ratio. ( if there are 47 teeth or the ring gear, and 11 on the pinion, the gear ratio is 4:27):41 divided into 11 is 3:72727272(or 3:73) etc. |
